Oak Coffins
What could be more magnificent than the stately wooden oak coffin, made from locally sourced oak that is grown and coppiced on a sustainable basis. Oak is one of the slowest growing trees providing a strength and finish of wood that is unique.
Our hand made oak coffins are made of solid pieces of oak, made up to traditional designs that have spanned generations. There are no fake veneers, no toxic varnishes or glues used in this beautiful coffin. It is hand made with traditional and expert carpentry skills.
The wood we use will have a unique patina and colour depending on the tree that is used. We don’t provide a flat uniform finish but take pride in the knots and grains of this beautiful wood which is lovingly polished and finished with beeswax? to give it a wonderful soft glow.
Handles available with this coffin are either wood or polished metal ?according to our clients preference.
